Monica Ajinkya and Samuel Rosner
Monica and Sam planned an incredible wedding this past weekend in Chantilly, Virginia. Though the weather was cooler than expected in May, the space they created for 250 of their closest family and friends was so inviting that I don’t think anyone no one noticed! Aside from all of the gorgeous colors and merriment, several parts of the day truly stood out! The first was the baraat, the traditional ceremony where the groom arrives and the families of both parties greet each other. Monica and Sam’s huge bridal party, friends, and relatives all danced outside to the beat of the dhol. |

The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour during which portraits of family members, the bridal party, and Monica and Sam were done — and then they changed into equally gorgeous outfits for the reception! The toasts, delivered by the parents of the bride and groom, the best man, Steve, and Monica’s sister, Julie, were all amazing. Heartfelt and emotional, there couldn’t have been sweeter words to unite so many guests who all arrived from different walks of life to celebrate Monica and Sam. The reception turned into a gigantic party after first dances and cake cutting, and everyone in the room felt confident that Monica and Sam achieved their goal of hosting a celebration that brought together friends and family over good food, good wine, and good conversation. | ||
